Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst to join our esteemed IT Security team in Kuwait. In this critical hybrid role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding Zain’s digital assets, infrastructure, and customer data from evolving cyber threats. You will contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of our cybersecurity strategies, working closely with various departments to ensure a robust security posture across our extensive network and services. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls) for alerts and anomalies, performing initial triage and investigation.
- Respond to security incidents, analyze their scope and impact, and assist in remediation efforts following established protocols.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, identifying security weaknesses and recommending corrective actions.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Perform forensic analysis on compromised systems and gather evidence for incident post-mortems.
- Administer and configure security tools and technologies to optimize their effectiveness and ensure optimal performance.
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, recommending proactive measures.
- Provide security awareness training and support to employees to foster a security-conscious culture.
- Prepare comprehensive security reports and dashboards for management, detailing posture and incident statistics.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or security analysis.
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar) and strong skills in security event analysis.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and basic cloud security concepts.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools.
- In-depth knowledge of common attack vectors, security vulnerabilities, and defensive techniques.
- Familiarity with industry security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex technical information.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Information Security or a closely related discipline.
- Advanced cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GCIH, CCSP).
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for security automation and data analysis.

- Previous experience working within a telecommunications or large enterprise environment.
