Job Description

The Nigerian Customs Service is seeking highly motivated and experienced Customs Officers to join our team in Benin City, Edo State. As a Customs Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of legitimate trade while preventing illegal activities such as smuggling and the importation of contraband goods. You will be responsible for inspecting goods, assessing duties, and enforcing customs regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of customs procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. You will be part of a team dedicated to maintaining the integrity of Nigeria’s borders and contributing to the economic prosperity of the nation. Key Responsibilities

  • Inspecting goods entering and leaving the country.
  • Assessing and collecting customs duties and taxes.
  • Enforcing customs regulations and laws.
  • Preventing smuggling and the importation of prohibited goods.

  • Collaborating with other government agencies and stakeholders.
  • Investigating customs-related violations.
