You will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by accurately and efficiently addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and guiding them through our diverse range of banking products and services. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and professionally upon entry to the bank, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding account balances, transactions, services, and general banking information.
  • Assist customers with opening new accounts, applying for loans, and other banking products, explaining terms and conditions clearly.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and efficiently, escalating complex matters to appropriate departments when necessary.
  • Process routine banking transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and bill payments.
  • Educate customers on FirstBank's digital banking platforms and encourage their adoption.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in the bank's system.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell or up-sell bank products and services that meet customer needs.
  • Adhere strictly to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with other branch staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Yoruba.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office Suite).
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor's Degree in Banking and Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Previous experience (1+ year) in a customer service role, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with banking software and operating systems.
  • Knowledge of local market dynamics and customer needs in Ikere-Ekiti.
