Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle for local deliveries and collections within Oudtshoorn and nearby areas.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled deadlines.
- Load, unload, and secure packages and goods, ensuring their safe transport and integrity.
- Verify the accuracy of delivery manifests against physical items, obtaining necessary signatures and documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks, reporting any issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and local delivery regulations.
Required Skills
- Valid Code B (or equivalent) South African driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a courier driver or in a similar delivery role (minimum 1 year).
- Excellent knowledge of Oudtshoorn and surrounding Western Cape routes and geography.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights (up to 25kg) and handle physical demands of the job.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic.

- Previous experience with handheld delivery devices or logistics software.
- Knowledge of vehicle basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
