Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Law Associate to join our dynamic team in Utako, Abuja. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice to clients on corporate and commercial law matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of corporate and commercial agreements, including M&A documents, joint venture agreements, financing agreements, and commercial contracts.
- Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence for corporate transactions.
- Advise on corporate governance best practices and regulatory compliance across various sectors.
- Represent clients in negotiations and provide support in dispute resolution concerning corporate matters.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis, preparing legal opinions and memoranda.
- Manage client relationships and project timelines, ensuring timely and effective service delivery.
- Stay abreast of legislative changes, industry trends, and legal developments relevant to corporate law in Nigeria.
- Mentor junior associates and contribute to knowledge sharing within the corporate law practice group.
Required Skills
- Admitted to practice law in Nigeria.
- Minimum of 4 years post-call experience in corporate and commercial law, preferably within a reputable law firm.
- Demonstrated expertise in M&A, corporate finance, private equity, and general corporate advisory.
- Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Superior drafting and negotiation abilities.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and work under pressure.
