Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting and editing internal and external communications materials, including press releases, news articles, social media content, and internal newsletters.
- Support media monitoring and analysis, preparing summaries of media coverage relevant to Swedbank and the financial sector.
- Contribute to the organization and execution of corporate events, press conferences, and internal engagement activities.
- Help manage and update Swedbank's corporate social media channels and external communication platforms.
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices in corporate communications.
- Support the team with administrative tasks, including scheduling, documentation, and content archiving.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather information and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Latvian.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, error-free content.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of social media platforms and their role in corporate communications.
- Proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic corporate environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a communications-related role (e.g., student newspaper, club, or prior internship).
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools or content management systems.
- Knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop) is a plus.
