Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, editing, and distributing internal communications materials, including newsletters, intranet content, and executive messages.
- Support media relations activities, including monitoring news coverage, compiling press clippings, and helping to prepare media kits.
- Contribute to the development of external communications content, such as press releases, corporate blog posts, and social media updates.
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and media landscapes to inform communications strategies.
- Help organize and execute corporate events, presentations, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Maintain and update communication calendars and databases.
- Provide general administrative support to the Corporate Communications team.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather information and ensure consistent messaging across the organization.
- Assist in managing Rakuten's corporate social media channels, including content scheduling and performance tracking.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong research and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
