Igihe Ltd. is seeking a talented and motivated Remote Contract Content Writer specializing in blog posts to join our vibrant team. Key Responsibilities
- Research, write, and edit engaging, high-quality blog posts ranging from 800-1500 words on a variety of topics relevant to Igihe Ltd.'s audience (e.g., current affairs, technology, culture, lifestyle, business).
- Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy, credibility, and originality of all content.
- Optimize blog content for search engines (SEO) by incorporating relevant keywords, meta descriptions, and internal/external links to improve visibility and organic traffic.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm content ideas, develop content calendars, and align blog strategy with overall company goals.
- Ensure all content adheres to Igihe Ltd.'s brand voice, style guide, and editorial standards.
- Review and proofread content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, and factual accuracy before submission.
- Incorporate feedback efficiently and make revisions as necessary.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices in content marketing, and SEO algorithms to continuously improve content performance.
Required Skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (proficiency in Kinyarwanda is a strong advantage).
- Proven experience as a Content Writer, Blogger, or similar role, with a strong portfolio of published blog posts.
- Demonstrable understanding of SEO principles and content optimization techniques.
- Excellent research skills and the ability to synthesize information from various sources.
- Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress is a plus.
