Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute comprehensive content acquisition strategies aligned with Axel Springer's overall business objectives and audience growth targets.
- Lead negotiations for content licensing agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that support long-term strategic goals.
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify emerging content trends, audience demands, and competitive landscape, informing acquisition decisions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with content providers, industry stakeholders, and internal teams (editorial, product, legal, marketing).
- Collaborate with editorial teams to understand content needs and integrate acquired content seamlessly into existing offerings.
- Monitor performance of acquired content, leveraging data analytics to optimize strategies and identify new opportunities for growth.
- Prepare detailed business cases, financial models, and presentations for proposed content acquisition projects to secure internal buy-in.
- Stay abreast of intellectual property rights, licensing laws, and digital media industry standards to ensure compliance.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and development of new content verticals and distribution channels.
Required Skills
- Proven track record (6+ years) in content acquisition, business development, or strategic partnerships within the media, publishing, or digital content industry.
- Demonstrable expertise in negotiating complex licensing agreements and contracts.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, audience insights, and financial models to make informed strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

- Proficiency in English; fluency in German is highly desirable.
