Key Responsibilities
- Perform general labour duties on construction sites, including site preparation, material handling, and clean-up.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently, as instructed by supervisors.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, masons, electricians) with various tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings when required.
- Load and unload construction materials, ensuring proper storage and organization.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding, temporary structures, and barricades.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures.
- Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth.
- Assist with the pouring and finishing of concrete, laying bricks, and installing various building components.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to minimize hazards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other contractors.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Construction Worker or in a similar role
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour
