As a Construction Site Helper, you will be an integral part of our site operations, providing essential support to skilled tradespeople and ensuring the smooth running of daily tasks. Your primary role will involve a variety of physical duties, which are crucial for maintaining an organised, safe, and productive construction environment. Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport building materials, tools, and equipment around the construction site.
- Perform general labouring duties, including digging, trenching, mixing concrete/mortar, and manual demolition.
- Assist skilled tradespersons (e.g., bricklayers, carpenters, plumbers) as directed.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment by sweeping, removing debris, and disposing of waste materials properly.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
- Prepare sites for construction by clearing obstacles and setting up temporary structures.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the site supervisor immediately.
- Adhere to project schedules and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding manual labour.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions clearly.
- Reliability and punctuality, demonstrating a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety (or willingness to learn immediately).
