Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Masafi, Fujairah. This pivotal role requires a professional who can seamlessly bridge the gap between design and execution, ensuring that our construction projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in overseeing the technical aspects of construction, providing engineering support to site teams, and coordinating with various stakeholders including clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
As a Construction Project Engineer at FNCC, you will be deeply involved in all phases of project lifecycle, from initial planning and design review to on-site supervision and project close-out. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of construction projects.
- Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Provide technical support and guidance to site supervision teams.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and propose corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, logs, and submittals.
- Ensure compliance with all project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth project flow.
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budget tracking, and quantity surveying.
- Conduct site inspections to verify work conforms to design and quality standards.
- Participate in project meetings and effectively communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve technical problems and challenges on-site.
- Manage and track material requisitions and deliveries to ensure availability.
- Implement and enforce FNCC's health, safety, and environmental policies.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in construction project engineering, preferably in the UAE.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Valid UAE driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Construction Management or related field.
- PMP certification or similar project management qualification.
- Experience with building information modeling (BIM) software.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations specific to Fujairah/UAE.
