Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespersons (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks on site.
- Perform general site clean-up, including sweeping, tidying, and waste removal.
- Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment safely across the construction site.
- Prepare work areas by setting up and dismantling scaffolding, barriers, and safety signage.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently as directed.
- Dig trenches, compact earth, and assist with concrete pouring and finishing.
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and site-specific rules diligently.
- Support the team in ensuring projects are completed on schedule and to the highest quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed when required.
Required Skills
- Valid Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Strong physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Proven reliability and punctuality.
- Understanding of basic construction site safety protocols.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a construction laborer role.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- First Aid certification.
- Forklift or other heavy machinery licenses/tickets.
- Drivers license and reliable transport.
