Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial loan clients, fostering strong, long-term relationships.
- Actively prospect for new business opportunities, generating leads, and networking within the local community to attract new commercial clients.
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow, and collateral to evaluate creditworthiness and structure appropriate loan facilities.
- Prepare comprehensive credit proposals, ensuring compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and sound lending practices.
- Negotiate loan terms, conditions, and pricing with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Monitor existing loan portfolio performance, identify potential risks, and implement proactive solutions.
- Collaborate with internal partners across various departments (e.g., Treasury Management, Wealth Management) to offer holistic financial solutions.
- Stay informed about market trends, economic conditions, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities and risks.
- Ensure all lending activities comply with federal and state regulations, as well as internal bank policies and procedures.
- Participate in community events and business associations to enhance the bank's visibility and build referral networks.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial lending or relevant banking experience.
- Demonstrated ability to originate, underwrite, and manage a diverse portfolio of commercial loans.
- Strong financial analysis and credit assessment skills.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and business development capabilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Thorough understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
