Elite Cleaning Services Northern Cape (Pty) Ltd is looking for a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Commercial Cleaner operating under a unique remote model. While the core function of this role involves performing essential cleaning tasks on-site at various client locations – including offices, retail spaces, industrial units, and other commercial premises – the administrative, scheduling, and reporting aspects are managed remotely.
This means you will not be required to report daily to a central office. Instead, you will receive your assignments, manage your schedule for multiple sites, communicate with supervisors, and submit reports digitally from your home base. This setup offers significant autonomy, making it ideal for self-starters who are highly organized and can manage their time effectively to meet client needs. You will be instrumental in maintaining the pristine condition and hygienic standards of our clients’ facilities, ensuring a positive and professional impression is always upheld. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and waste removal, across various commercial sites.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, break rooms, and other common areas to high hygiene standards.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in designated areas.
- Operate and maintain a variety of cleaning equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company cleaning protocols.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards observed on client premises to the remote supervisor promptly.
- Manage time effectively to complete all assigned tasks within scheduled timeframes at multiple client locations.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with remote supervisors regarding progress, challenges, and supply needs.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when reordering is necessary.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 12 months (1 year) proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and proper usage.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a thorough approach to cleaning tasks.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage own schedule.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple client sites.
- Reliable personal transportation to travel between various client locations in Olifantshoek and surrounding areas.
- Basic communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting and interaction with remote team.
- Access to a smartphone and internet for remote communication and scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid South African Driver's License.
- Previous experience with eco-friendly or green cleaning practices.
- First Aid and/or Basic Fire Fighting certification.
- Ability to troubleshoot minor issues with cleaning equipment.
- Experience with specialized cleaning techniques (e.g., floor waxing, carpet extraction).
