Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure within AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Automate provisioning, deployment, and operational tasks utilizing scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, and cost optimization, implementing proactive measures and incident response.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with application requirements, best practices, and release cycles.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime and effective root cause analysis.
- Implement and enforce robust security best practices and compliance standards within cloud environments.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed to support critical systems and maintain operational stability.
- Contribute to comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and foster knowledge sharing across technical teams.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 4 years) as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
- Expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and its core services.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles and practical experience with tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and system administration.
- Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) for automated deployments.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPC, VPN, DNS, Load Balancers, firewalls) in cloud contexts.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Splunk).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong analytical skills, and effective communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate, GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience with serverless technologies (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions).
- Familiarity with various database technologies, both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- In-depth understanding of security best practices, vulnerability management, and threat modeling in cloud environments.
- Experience working with microservices architecture and API management.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
