Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clinical staff with patient intake, including registration, verification of information, and preparing patients for examinations or procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible in compliance with data protection policies.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, manage clinic calendars, and handle incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean, fully stocked with necessary medical supplies, and organized for optimal patient flow.
  • Provide compassionate support and guidance to patients and their families, addressing their inquiries and ensuring a positive and comfortable clinic experience.
  • Manage and organize medical supplies and equipment within the clinic, assisting with inventory control, stock replenishment, and reordering processes.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, hygiene protocols, and patient confidentiality policies to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Assist with basic administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, data entry, and processing medical forms.
  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless clinic operations and efficient patient care delivery.
  • Participate actively in all mandatory training sessions, workshops, and continuous learning opportunities provided to enhance skills and knowledge.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with a clear and empathetic approach.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for data entry and record keeping.

  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and an understanding of clinic operations is advantageous.
  • An Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a health-related field or administration.
