You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across our diverse residential-style rooms, suites, and common guest areas. Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize residential guest rooms, suites, and associated private areas, ensuring all surfaces, fixtures, and furnishings are spotless.
- Make beds, change linens, and ensure all amenities are replenished according to resort standards.
- Clean and maintain common residential guest areas, including corridors, lounges, and stairwells.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Empty waste bins, dispose of refuse responsibly, and maintain impeccable hygiene throughout designated areas.
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards immediately to supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Respect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes, ensuring efficiency without compromising quality.
- Assist with laundry duties as required, including washing, drying, folding, and sorting linens and towels.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel staff to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest satisfaction.
- Be flexible with work shifts, including morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and public holiday shifts, as per resort needs to maintain continuous service excellence.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to clean and maintain various surfaces to high standards.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in all tasks.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform duties requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Basic communication skills (verbal) to interact with colleagues and supervisors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in hotel housekeeping or residential cleaning services.
- Familiarity with various cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Basic understanding of health and safety standards in a hospitality setting.
- Ability to communicate in Kinyarwanda and basic English.
