Job Description
Bank of Kigali is seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaning Helper for Office Maintenance to join our Gisagara branch team. This is a crucial early shift role, ensuring our office environment is impeccably clean, hygienic, and welcoming for both our valued clients and diligent staff before the start of business hours. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the professional appearance and operational efficiency of our premises. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, and polishing surfaces in all office areas, meeting rooms, and common spaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms thoroughly, ensuring all fixtures are sparkling and supplies (soap, toilet paper, hand towels) are fully stocked.
- Empty waste bins and recycling containers regularly, ensuring proper waste disposal and segregation.
- Dust and wipe down office furniture, desks, shelves, windowsills, and equipment to remove dirt and smudges.
- Clean interior glass partitions and windows, ensuring a clear and professional appearance.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchenettes/break rooms, including wiping down counters, sinks, and appliances.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues, damages, or necessary repairs observed during cleaning to the supervisor.
- Replenish cleaning supplies as needed and ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and use cleaning chemicals responsibly and effectively.
- Assist with special cleaning projects or event setups as required by management.
Required Skills
- Basic literacy and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to complete tasks within the early shift timeframe.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role, preferably in an office or commercial setting.
- Knowledge of various cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment.
