As a Cleaner/Housekeeper, you will be an integral part of our daily operations, working both independently to manage your tasks efficiently and collaboratively as part of a supportive and friendly team. Key Responsibilities
- Clean and tidy assigned guest rooms and bathrooms to the highest Premier Inn standards, including making beds, vacuuming, dusting, sanitising surfaces, and polishing fixtures.
- Replenish guest room amenities, toiletries, and fresh linens daily, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Ensure all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, elevators, and restrooms, are consistently clean, tidy, and presentable throughout the day.
- Manage and properly dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with hotel procedures and environmental guidelines.
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards immediately to the housekeeping supervisor or relevant department.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) guidelines, for safe handling of cleaning products.
- Maintain all cleaning equipment and storage areas in a clean, tidy, and safe operational condition.
- Work efficiently to meet daily cleaning schedules and deadlines, maintaining productivity without compromising quality.
- Interact with guests in a polite, friendly, and helpful manner when encountered, addressing minor requests or directing them to appropriate staff.
- Support other team members and contribute positively to a cooperative and respectful working environment.
Required Skills
- A strong work ethic and a proactive approach to all assigned tasks.
- Exceptional attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in previous roles or commitments.
- Ability to work effectively both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and capability for tasks involving bending, lifting (up to 20kg), pushing, pulling, and prolonged standing/walking.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to a hospitality environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role, preferably within a hotel or other hospitality environment.
- Familiarity with various cleaning chemicals and equipment, and safe usage practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbally) with team members and guests in English.
