Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all civil construction activities on-site, including excavation, concrete works, foundation pouring, structural erection, and finishing.
- Ensure strict adherence to project specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards.
- Implement and enforce all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures on the worksite.
- Manage and lead a team of skilled and unskilled civil workers, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Coordinate with project engineers, other foremen, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion.
- Monitor progress against schedules, identify potential delays, and propose corrective actions.
- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of civil construction equipment and tools.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings to promote a safety-conscious work environment.
- Inspect work in progress to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with design documents.
- Manage material requisitions, ensure timely delivery, and proper storage of civil materials.
- Prepare daily progress reports, manpower reports, and other necessary documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues and challenges in coordination with the engineering team.
Required Skills
