Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the design, analysis, and execution of civil engineering projects, including site development, drainage systems, earthworks, and structural components.
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and prepare detailed engineering reports and technical specifications.
- Perform complex calculations and simulations to ensure design integrity, safety, and compliance with British Standards and relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate civil engineering designs with overall project plans.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within financial parameters.
- Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and provide construction oversight and technical support throughout the build phase.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations on all project sites.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and professional excellence.
- Utilise advanced engineering software for design, modelling, and analysis (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, Revit, STAAD.Pro).
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 4 years) in civil engineering design and project delivery.
- Strong understanding of British Standards, Eurocodes, and UK building regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of working effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
- Eligibility for visa sponsorship to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related specialisation.
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or actively working towards it (e.g., ICE membership).
