Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic construction site team in Abuja. This pivotal role involves overseeing and managing various aspects of civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in site supervision, structural integrity, infrastructure development, and a proven ability to lead and mentor junior engineering staff. You will be instrumental in translating complex engineering designs into tangible structures, troubleshooting challenges on-site, and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams including architects, contractors, and project managers. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all civil engineering aspects on construction sites, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, ensure compliance with specifications, and identify potential issues or discrepancies.
- Prepare detailed reports on project progress, material usage, and resource allocation for senior management.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Implement and enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols on site, fostering a safe working environment.
- Perform quality control checks on materials and workmanship to guarantee adherence to relevant standards and codes.
- Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent delays and cost overruns.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site staff.
- Manage the procurement and inventory of construction materials and equipment.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all necessary permits and approvals are in place.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in civil engineering within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- Expertise in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
