We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai, UAE. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop detailed engineering plans and specifications for civil projects, including earthworks, foundations, concrete structures, roads, and drainage systems.
- Conduct site investigations, surveys, and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, and other data) to design projects.
- Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and construction cost estimates.
- Supervise and monitor construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Review and approve construction drawings, method statements, and material submissions.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Manage project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site staff.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in civil engineering roles, preferably within the UAE construction sector.
- Proficiency in civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SAP2000, ETABS).
- Strong understanding of structural analysis, concrete design, and soil mechanics.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant UAE building codes and international construction standards.
- Ability to read, interpret, and prepare complex engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification (e.g., Chartered Engineer).
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.
- Prior experience with large-scale infrastructure or high-rise building projects.
- Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and green building certifications (e.g., LEED).
