Job Description
Deloitte Nigeria is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Accountant with a valid ICAN certification. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing financial expertise and leadership across various projects and client engagements. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards in Nigeria. You will be involved in all aspects of financial management, from planning and budgeting to auditing and compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Conducting financial audits and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Preparing financial statements, reports, and analyses for clients.
- Managing financial data and maintaining accurate accounting records.
- Developing and implementing financial strategies and controls.
- Providing financial advisory services to clients.
- Participating in business development activities to attract new clients.
- Mentoring junior staff and contributing to the development of the team.
- Staying up-to-date on the latest accounting and financial regulations.
Required Skills
- ICAN certification
- Strong understanding of IFRS and Nigerian GAAP
- Proficiency in financial reporting software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in financial audit and compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with tax compliance in Nigeria
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
- ACCA or other relevant professional certifications
- Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm
- Experience with international financial reporting standards
