Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mobile phone and tablet malfunctions accurately and efficiently.
- Perform hardware repairs, including screen replacements, battery replacements, charging port repairs, camera repairs, and intricate component-level soldering.
- Execute software repairs, including operating system flashing, updates, data recovery (where possible), and virus removal.
- Conduct thorough quality checks and functional testing post-repair to ensure optimal device performance.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all repairs, parts used, and service rendered in our system.
- Provide clear, professional, and empathetic communication with customers regarding repair status, technical issues, and estimated completion times.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and components, ensuring adequate stock levels and efficient ordering.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new mobile technologies, device models, and repair techniques through self-study and provided training.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly cared for.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in cellphone and tablet hardware and software repair.
- Strong knowledge of mobile operating systems, including Android and iOS platforms.
- Proficiency in using a variety of diagnostic tools and repair equipment (e.g., soldering stations, multimeters, heat guns).
- Ability to perform intricate soldering and micro-soldering on device components.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- High attention to detail and exceptional manual dexterity for precise repairs.
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certification in electronics repair (e.g., CompTIA A+, IPC J-STD-001).
- Specific experience with major mobile device brands (e.g., Samsung, Huawei, Apple, Nokia).
- Prior experience in a retail or customer-facing repair service environment.
