Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, test, and maintain various types of CCTV cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and associated networking equipment according to specifications and safety standards.
- Perform detailed site surveys to determine optimal placement of cameras, cabling routes, and equipment, ensuring maximum coverage and efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues related to CCTV systems, including hardware malfunctions, software glitches, and network connectivity problems.
- Conduct comprehensive preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure system reliability, longevity, and adherence to performance benchmarks.
- Program and configure surveillance software, ensuring proper functionality, seamless integration with other security systems, and user-friendly operation.
- Provide expert technical support and thorough training to clients on the effective operation, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of their CCTV systems.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, industry best practices, and local regulations during all installation and service operations.
- Prepare accurate and detailed documentation, including installation reports, maintenance logs, inventory records, and client system configurations.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, fellow technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure timely, efficient, and successful project completion.
- Stay continuously updated with the latest advancements in CCTV technology, security solutions, and emerging industry trends through ongoing learning and development.
Required Skills
- Proven hands-on experience (minimum 2 years) in CCTV system installation, maintenance, and comprehensive troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of various CCTV camera types (IP, Analog, HDCVI/TVI, PTZ) and recording devices (DVR, NVR), including their configurations and functionalities.
- Proficiency in network fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, DHCP, DNS) relevant to the setup and management of IP camera systems.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work with technical diagrams, blueprints, wiring schematics, and product manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills to efficiently resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction, team collaboration, and clear reporting.
- Possession of a valid UAE driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical diploma or certification in electronics, electrical engineering, information technology, or a closely related field.
- Certifications from major CCTV manufacturers (e.g., Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Pelco) demonstrating specialized expertise.
- Prior experience with integrated security solutions, including access control systems or alarm systems.
- Familiarity with local security regulations, standards, and licensing requirements in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in diverse project environments.
