Key Responsibilities
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks (e.g., washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients).
- Help with the setup and breakdown of catering events, including arranging tables, chairs, decorations, and buffet lines.
- Safely and efficiently transport food, beverages, and equipment to and from event locations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen areas, serving stations, storage rooms, and event spaces.
- Wash and sanitise dishes, cutlery, glassware, and all kitchen utensils according to stringent hygiene standards.
- Ensure proper handling, rotation, and storage of food items to prevent spoilage and maintain food safety.
- Support serving staff during events by refilling platters, clearing plates, topping up drinks, and assisting guests as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies at all times.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, checking, and stocking supplies.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by senior catering staff, chefs, or event managers to ensure smooth operations.
