Key Responsibilities
- Undergo comprehensive training on operating point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently.
- Process customer transactions promptly, including handling cash, credit/debit card payments, and other forms of tender.
- Maintain an accurate cash float and reconcile daily transactions at the end of each shift.
- Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service, assisting with product inquiries and resolving minor issues.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures related to cash handling, security, and customer service standards.
- Assist with bagging groceries and ensuring the checkout area remains clean, tidy, and well-organised.
- Learn and apply product knowledge to assist customers effectively and suggest promotional items.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a positive shopping environment.
- Actively participate in all training programs and embrace continuous learning opportunities.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor in a timely manner.
