Key Responsibilities
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Handle various payment methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments, ensuring correct change and transaction completion.
- Greet customers warmly, provide helpful service, and answer basic inquiries about products or store policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area, ensuring supplies are stocked.
- Assist with basic merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and price checking as needed.
- Verify customer identification for restricted purchases (e.g., age-restricted items) when applicable.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling, returns, and exchanges.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a positive shopping environment.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or escalate issues to management promptly and courteously.
- Participate in store inventory counts and loss prevention efforts.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in transactions.
