Key Responsibilities
- Assist the primary driver in the safe loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Verify cargo against delivery notes to ensure accuracy and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Navigate routes efficiently using maps or GPS, assisting the driver in identifying the best paths for timely deliveries.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle cabin and cargo area.
- Assist with routine vehicle checks, including tire pressure, fluid levels, and general vehicle condition.
- Communicate effectively with customers upon delivery, providing assistance and ensuring a positive experience.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and stacking goods as required.
- Assist with documentation and record-keeping related to deliveries and cargo.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or incidents to management promptly.
Required Skills
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for verifying manifests.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg).
