Key Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicle interiors to assess upholstery damage, wear, or customization needs.
- Remove existing upholstery, padding, and trim components carefully without causing further damage.
- Measure, cut, and sew various upholstery materials (leather, fabric, vinyl, foam) accurately according to specifications and custom patterns.
- Install new upholstery, ensuring a precise fit, smooth finish, and professional appearance on seats, door panels, headliners, and carpets.
- Repair and reinforce seat frames, springs, and other structural components as needed to ensure safety and durability.
- Perform detailed stitching, seaming, and finishing work to meet high aesthetic standards.
- Collaborate effectively with clients to understand their design preferences, material choices, and budget for custom projects.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to all workshop safety protocols.
- Manage inventory of upholstery materials and tools, reporting needs and assisting with procurement as they arise.
