We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Campaigns Manager to join a vibrant charity in the heart of Brixton, London. This pivotal role will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of impactful campaigns that raise awareness, engage the community, and drive fundraising initiatives for our critical causes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for social justice, environmental sustainability, or community empowerment, coupled with a proven track record in successful campaign management within the non-profit sector. You will be instrumental in crafting compelling narratives, mobilising support, and ensuring our messages reach diverse audiences across Brixton and wider London. This is an incredible opportunity for a strategic thinker and a hands-on executor to make a significant contribution to an organisation dedicated to positive change. You will be responsible for managing campaigns from conception to completion, working collaboratively with various internal teams including fundraising, communications, and programmes, as well as external partners and stakeholders. Your work will directly support the charity’s mission, helping to secure vital resources and amplify the voices of those we serve. We operate in a fast-paced yet supportive environment where creativity, collaboration, and a commitment to our beneficiaries are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and deliver integrated multi-channel campaigns (digital, print, events, PR) aligned with the charity’s strategic objectives and fundraising goals.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify target audiences, campaign themes, and effective communication channels.
  • Craft compelling campaign messaging and content, ensuring consistency and brand adherence across all platforms.
  • Manage campaign budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently to ensure successful delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with fundraising teams to integrate appeals and donor acquisition strategies into campaigns.
  • Engage with community leaders, volunteers, and beneficiaries to gather stories and enhance campaign authenticity.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on campaign performance, using data and insights to optimise future strategies.
  • Stay abreast of sector trends, policy changes, and competitor activity to inform campaign development.
  • Act as a brand guardian, ensuring all communications uphold the charity's values and mission.
  • Recruit, train, and manage campaign volunteers where applicable, fostering a sense of community ownership.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in campaign management, preferably within the charity or NGO sector.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive and engaging content.
  • Strong project management abilities, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (social media, email marketing, web content management).
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • A deep understanding of the socio-economic and cultural landscape of Brixton and surrounding areas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience with CRM systems and donor management software.
  • Knowledge of fundraising regulations and best practices.
  • Previous experience working with diverse communities and advocating for social change.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) for basic content creation.

Perks & Benefits

  • Generous annual leave allowance.
  • Contribution to a workplace pension scheme.
  • Opportunities for professional development and training.
  • Flexible working arrangements (within an on-site context).
