Job Description

As a Business Intelligence Consultant at Standard Bank Mozambique, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions across various facets of our operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to leverage their expertise in data analysis, visualization, and reporting to empower diverse departments within the bank, including retail banking, corporate and investment banking, risk management, and marketing. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust BI solutions, interactive dashboards, and comprehensive reports that provide a clear and timely picture of our operational performance, evolving market trends, and critical customer behaviour patterns. Your work will directly support our mission to be a client-centric, data-driven organisation, enabling senior leaders and decision-makers to make informed choices that foster sustainable growth, enhance efficiency, and mitigate risks.

You will collaborate closely with various business stakeholders, from front-line managers to executive leadership, to understand their unique analytical needs, identify key performance indicators (KPIs), and translate complex business requirements into precise technical specifications for our state-of-the-art BI platforms. This role involves end-to-end involvement, commencing from the identification and extraction of relevant data sources, progressing through meticulous data modelling, efficient data transformation processes (ETL), and culminating in the clear and compelling presentation of insights. A strong understanding of financial services data, including product performance, customer demographics, transaction patterns, and the intricacies of the Mozambican regulatory environment, will be a significant advantage, allowing you to quickly grasp the nuances of our complex business operations. We are looking for someone who is not just technically proficient with advanced BI tools but also possesses excellent communication and storytelling skills, capable of translating intricate data insights into clear, concise, and compelling narratives for non-technical audiences. You will act as a champion for data literacy within the organisation, actively contributing to fostering a culture where data is trusted, accessible, and integral to our daily strategic and operational decision-making processes. If you are passionate about unlocking the power of data, possess a strong analytical mindset, thrive on solving complex business challenges, and are eager to make a tangible impact within a leading financial institution in a dynamic market like Mozambique, we highly encourage you to apply. This role offers significant opportunities for continuous professional growth, exposure to cutting-edge BI technologies, and a chance to contribute to the strategic direction of Standard Bank Mozambique.
