Job Description
As a Business Development Executive at Partners Group, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base and reinforcing existing relationships within the Swiss and broader European markets. This position is crucial for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing prospective clients, and presenting tailored private markets investment solutions across our diverse asset classes. Key Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and qualify new business opportunities and potential clients (e.g., pension funds, insurance companies, foundations, family offices, UHNWIs) within target markets.
- Develop and execute strategic outreach plans to engage with prospective clients through various channels, including direct communication, networking events, and industry conferences.
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to inform robust business development strategies and identify emerging trends.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, investment proposals, and comprehensive due diligence materials tailored to client needs.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads, meticulously managing the entire sales cycle from initial contact to successful close.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including investment professionals, legal, marketing, and client solutions, to create customized and impactful client solutions.
- Represent Partners Group at key industry conferences, seminars, and exclusive networking events, enhancing brand visibility and fostering client relationships.
- Utilize CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to accurately track all business development activities, manage client interactions, and report on progress and pipeline metrics.
- Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and contribute meaningfully to the overall strategic growth objectives of the firm.
Required Skills
- Proven track record of 4+ years in business development or sales, preferably within the financial services or investment management industry.
- Strong understanding of private markets (private equity, private debt, private real estate, private infrastructure) or a demonstrable ability to quickly acquire such knowledge.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships at senior executive levels.
- Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving capabilities and a strategic mindset.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) for managing client data and sales pipelines.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); proficiency in German or French is a significant asset.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related field.

- Master's degree (e.g., MBA, MSc in Finance) or a CFA designation.
- Prior experience working with institutional investors or ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
