In this role, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, working closely with stakeholders across various levels to define requirements, design innovative solutions, and ensure successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and validate business requirements, translating them into clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Act as a crucial link between business users and technical development teams, ensuring a shared understanding of project scope and objectives.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process flows, use cases, functional specifications, and user guides.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Identify, analyse, and propose solutions to complex business problems, assessing their impact and feasibility.
- Support the product owner in maintaining a well-groomed and prioritised product backlog.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure solutions meet defined business requirements and quality standards.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior business analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT or digital transformation context.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to analyse business processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose effective solutions.
- Proficiency in requirements elicitation techniques (e.g., interviews, workshops, surveys).
- Experience in writing clear, concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and other Agile artefacts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
- Experience with process modelling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
- Exposure to various industry sectors, particularly Financial Services, Public Sector, or Energy & Utilities.
