Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of skilled and unskilled workers, fostering a productive and safe working environment.
- Monitor daily progress against the project schedule, identifying and addressing potential delays or issues proactively.
- Conduct regular safety briefings and ensure compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Inspect work for quality and compliance with building codes and project standards.
- Manage and allocate on-site resources, including labour, materials, and equipment, efficiently.
- Liaise effectively with project managers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and incident reports.
- Implement solutions to unforeseen challenges and changes in project scope.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of site equipment and tools.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Building Site Foreman or similar leadership role in construction.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Proficiency in project planning and scheduling.
- Problem-solving aptitude and decision-making capabilities.
- Solid knowledge of health and safety standards and procedures.
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
