Job Description
This integral role as a Building Material Loader offers a fantastic opportunity to join the dynamic world of construction supply and logistics in Akwanga. Working with one of our esteemed partners, you will be at the heart of operations, ensuring that the necessary building blocks for homes, businesses, and infrastructure projects are always available and efficiently managed. Your daily tasks will involve the careful handling, movement, and organization of a diverse range of materials, including bags of cement, various types of blocks, sand, gravel, timber, steel rods, and roofing sheets. The safety of yourself and your colleagues is paramount, and strict adherence to established safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the use of personal protective equipment, will be a core aspect of your role.
Beyond the physical demands, this position requires a keen eye for detail when verifying incoming and outgoing stock, ensuring accuracy against delivery manifests, and reporting any discrepancies. You will contribute significantly to maintaining an orderly and clean storage yard or warehouse, which is crucial for operational efficiency and accident prevention. We are seeking an individual with a strong work ethic, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a genuine interest in contributing to the growth and development of Akwanga. This is more than just a loading role; it’s an opportunity to develop valuable skills in inventory management, logistics, and teamwork within a supportive environment. If you are reliable, physically fit, and eager to make a tangible impact, we encourage you to apply and become a vital link in Akwanga’s construction supply chain.
