Key Responsibilities
- Develop and pitch compelling story ideas and segment concepts.
- Write, edit, and proofread scripts, rundowns, and broadcast content for news segments and live shows.
- Coordinate all aspects of live and pre-recorded productions, including guest bookings, logistics, and studio resources.
- Collaborate closely with reporters, anchors, directors, and technical staff to ensure seamless execution.
- Manage content flow, timing, and editorial accuracy during live broadcasts.
- Oversee the integration of graphics, video packages, and other visual elements.
- Conduct research and fact-checking to ensure journalistic integrity and credibility.
- Provide clear direction and leadership to the production team during broadcasts.
- Monitor news wires and social media for breaking news and emerging stories.
- Participate in post-production reviews and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Broadcast Producer in a news or current affairs environment (minimum 4 years).
