Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clinical scientists, researchers, and project managers to develop robust statistical analysis plans and study designs.
- Perform statistical programming, analysis, and interpretation of complex data from clinical trials and observational studies using SAS, R, or Python.
- Contribute to the development of study protocols, data collection forms, and statistical sections of clinical study reports.
- Prepare comprehensive statistical reports, summaries, and presentations, effectively communicating findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Participate in regulatory submissions and provide statistical expertise during interactions with regulatory authorities.
- Conduct sample size calculations, power analyses, and randomization scheme generation for new studies.
- Ensure statistical integrity, accuracy, and adherence to relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH GCP) throughout all projects.
- Stay abreast of the latest statistical methodologies and industry best practices in biostatistics.
Required Skills
- Master’s or PhD degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in biostatistical analysis, preferably within a pharmaceutical company, CRO, or academic research setting.
- Strong proficiency in statistical programming languages, particularly SAS and/or R.
- Demonstrated understanding of statistical principles applied to clinical trial design, data analysis, and reporting.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines related to drug development (e.g., ICH GCP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex statistical concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Bayesian methods, machine learning techniques, or real-world evidence (RWE) studies.
- Knowledge of specific therapeutic areas such as oncology, cardiovascular disease, or neurology.
- Experience working in a consultancy environment or managing multiple projects simultaneously.
