Saadiyat Rotana Resort & Villas is seeking a dedicated and energetic Beach Attendant to join our world-class recreation team. As a Beach Attendant, you will be the face of our stunning beachfront, ensuring our guests enjoy a seamless, safe, and memorable experience on one of Abu Dhabi’s most beautiful beaches. This pivotal role involves more than just maintaining the beach; it’s about anticipating guest needs, proactively offering assistance, and upholding the pristine standards that define a five-star resort.
You will be responsible for setting up and arranging beach furniture, including sun loungers, umbrellas, and towels, ensuring they are impeccably clean and perfectly presented at all times. Your keen eye for detail will ensure the beach area is always tidy, free of litter, and safe for all visitors. Beyond the physical duties, your primary focus will be on guest interaction. You will warmly greet guests, assist them with their needs, provide information about the resort’s facilities and services, and address any inquiries or concerns with professionalism and a friendly demeanor. Monitoring guest activities to ensure adherence to safety guidelines and promptly reporting any incidents or hazards will also be a critical part of your daily routine. This role requires a proactive approach, a strong sense of responsibility, and a genuine desire to contribute to an unparalleled guest experience in a breathtaking setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and arrange beach furniture (sun loungers, umbrellas, tables) and ensure they are clean and well-maintained.
- Distribute fresh towels to guests and collect used ones, maintaining adequate stock levels.
- Regularly patrol the beach area to ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and safety standards are met.
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival at the beach, offer assistance, and provide information about resort services.
- Assist guests with setting up their beach space, moving furniture, and attending to specific requests.
- Monitor guest activities to ensure compliance with beach rules and safety regulations.
- Report any safety hazards, incidents, or maintenance issues to the appropriate department promptly.
- Provide basic first aid assistance when necessary and alert emergency services for serious incidents.
- Maintain a friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor at all times, fostering positive guest relations.
- Replenish and organize beach amenities, such as water stations or activity equipment.
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of special beach events or activities.
Required Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
- Strong customer service orientation and a passion for guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy objects (e.g., beach furniture) and work outdoors for extended periods.
- Proactive and attentive to detail, with a keen eye for cleanliness and presentation.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced or challenging situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR certification.
