Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bartender to join our dynamic team at Kuje Grand Hotel & Suites. As an integral part of our food and beverage department, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional beverages, maintaining a well-stocked and impeccably clean bar area, and providing outstanding customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and guest preferences.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, including glassware, condiments, and liquor inventory.
- Interact engagingly with guests, take orders, and provide recommendations based on their tastes and preferences.
- Process payments accurately using POS systems and handle cash transactions with integrity and precision.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service, adhering to all licensing laws and regulations.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storing bar supplies efficiently.
- Collaborate with kitchen and waiting staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
- Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety in all bar operations, including food handling.
- Develop new cocktail recipes and contribute to menu innovation, keeping up with current trends.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Engage in continuous learning about new products, service techniques, and industry trends.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bartender in a reputable hotel, restaurant, or lounge (minimum 2 years).
- Extensive knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktail recipes, spirits, wines, and beers.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to food and beverage service.
- Excellent cash handling and POS system proficiency with a high degree of accuracy.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to serve alcohol.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items (e.g., cases of beverages) safely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
