Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages (e.g., espresso, lattes, cappuccinos) following established recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee-making equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders accurately and providing product recommendations.
- Handle cash and card transactions with precision using a POS system.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels for coffee beans, milk, and other supplies, reporting needs to management.
- Assist with opening and closing duties of the coffee shop, including cleaning, stocking, and preparing for the next shift.
- Develop and apply knowledge of coffee beans, roasts, and different brewing methods.
- Resolve customer complaints and provide exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista, preferably in a fast-paced coffee shop environment.
- Excellent knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment operation.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask effectively.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for high-quality beverages.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 10kg.
