Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of coffee beverages, teas, smoothies, and other café offerings according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment, ensuring they are always clean and in good working order.
- Ensure the consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all beverages, striving for excellence with every order.
- Provide exceptional, friendly, and efficient customer service, taking orders accurately and making recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
- Handle cash and electronic transactions responsibly and accurately, reconciling sales at the end of each shift.
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the entire café area, including countertops, seating areas, and equipment, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves, monitoring supply levels, and reporting shortages to management.
- Actively engage with hotel guests, anticipating their needs, answering questions, and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments and staff to ensure smooth operations and a cohesive guest experience.
- Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards at all times.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience as a Barista, preferably in a hotel, restaurant, or high-volume café.
- Exceptional knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, latte art, and various brew methods.
- Strong understanding of coffee beans, roasts, and flavor profiles.
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain composure in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Basic mathematical skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- High level of attention to detail and a commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality products.
- Fluent in English, with excellent verbal communication abilities.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
