Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages (espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, etc.) to hotel guests and visitors, adhering to Pelican Hotel Kosofe's quality standards.
- Operate and maintain professional coffee machines and related equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
- Take customer orders accurately, process payments using POS systems, and handle cash transactions with precision.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner, providing excellent customer service and product recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting café counter and seating area at all times.
- Monitor and replenish coffee beans, milk, syrups, pastries, and other café supplies as needed.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring a safe environment for both staff and guests.
- Assist with inventory management and reporting of stock levels to the café manager.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Contribute to a positive team environment, supporting colleagues and collaborating effectively.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista, preferably within a hotel or high-volume café setting.
- Exceptional knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment operation.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
