Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to company recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and meticulously maintain espresso machines, grinders, and all other café equipment, ensuring cleanliness and optimal performance.
- Interact with customers in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner, taking orders accurately and providing knowledgeable recommendations.
- Handle cash and electronic transactions precisely using POS systems and maintain accurate cash floats.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting café counter, display areas, and seating area at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and receiving deliveries.
- Efficiently resolve customer complaints and concerns with patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service delivery, especially during peak hours.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by assisting colleagues when necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role, preferably within a café or restaurant setting.
- Excellent knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, espresso machine operation, and milk texturing.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
- Ability to handle cash and accurately operate a Point of Sale (POS) system.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for hospitality and coffee.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- Certification in Food Safety/Hygiene (e.g., HACCP).
- Experience with various latte art techniques and creative beverage presentation.
- Knowledge of different coffee bean origins, roast profiles, and flavor characteristics.
- Prior experience in a high-volume or chain café environment.
