Career.supersecrets is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bar Attendant to join the vibrant team of a prestigious hotel lounge located in the bustling Tejuosho area of Yaba. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated hospitality professional to deliver outstanding service in an elegant and lively setting. As a Bar Attendant, you will be an integral part of our lounge’s success, responsible for creating an inviting atmosphere and ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable experience. You will meticulously prepare and serve a wide array of beverages, from classic cocktails and fine wines to refreshing mocktails and premium spirits, adhering strictly to recipes and presentation standards.
Beyond mixing drinks, your role extends to interacting warmly with guests, taking orders accurately, and making recommendations that enhance their visit. Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area will be paramount, requiring diligent attention to inventory, hygiene, and equipment upkeep. You will also be responsible for handling cash and card transactions efficiently and accurately, ensuring proper closing procedures are followed at the end of each shift. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional, and attentive manner, taking orders and making appropriate recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and equipment.
- Monitor and replenish bar stock, ensuring all necessary ingredients and supplies are readily available.
- Process guest payments accurately using POS systems and handle cash and card transactions responsibly.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as local liquor laws.
- Collaborate effectively with other lounge and hotel staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the bar for opening and closing shifts.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
- Contribute to a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bar Attendant or Bartender in a hotel, lounge, or high-volume bar setting.
- Excellent knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wines, and spirits.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and inventory.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written).
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
