Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits, adhering to hotel standards and recipes.
- Interact with guests in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner, taking orders, making recommendations, and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, including glassware, bar tools, and beverage inventory.
- Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash and credit card transactions responsibly.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption to prevent over-serving and ensure compliance with all relevant liquor laws and hotel policies.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and rotating stock, and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, ensuring a safe and sanitary working environment for both staff and guests.
- Collaborate effectively with other lounge and hotel staff to ensure seamless service delivery and a positive guest experience.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve any service issues promptly and professionally, escalating complex situations to management when necessary.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by assisting colleagues, sharing knowledge, and participating in training programs.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bar Attendant or Bartender, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant.
- Excellent knowledge of drink preparation and cocktail recipes.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in using POS systems for order entry and payment processing.
