Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Interact warmly and professionally with guests, taking orders, and making recommendations tailored to their preferences.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, adhering strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system, managing cash and card transactions.
- Monitor inventory levels of beverages, garnishes, and supplies, reporting shortages and assisting with restocking as needed.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and resolve any issues or complaints with professionalism, discretion, and a positive attitude.
- Ensure responsible service of alcohol, verifying age through identification and refusing service when necessary to comply with regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
- Perform opening and closing duties for the bar, including comprehensive cleaning tasks, cash reconciliation, and preparing for the next shift.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bar Attendant or in a similar hospitality role, preferably for at least 1 year.
- Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving a diverse range of drinks, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic options.
- Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele.
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced, high-volume evening environment.
- Strong cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) system proficiency.
- Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic with a proactive attitude.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items (up to 25 kg), and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in bartending, mixology, or a hospitality-related course.

- Fluency in Kinyarwanda and English is essential; proficiency in French or Swahili is a significant advantage.
