Key Responsibilities
- Execute banquet event orders (BEOs) accurately, including setting up tables, chairs, place settings, and décor according to specified diagrams and client preferences.
- Greet guests warmly, anticipate their needs, and provide exceptional food and beverage service in a professional and efficient manner.
- Serve plated meals, manage buffet lines, and assist with beverage service, ensuring adherence to all health and safety regulations.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms, serving stations, and back-of-house areas throughout events.
- Promptly and courteously respond to guest requests, addressing any concerns to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Clear tables, dismantle event setups, and assist with post-event clean-up procedures, including proper handling of equipment and linens.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, banquet captains, and other team members to ensure smooth event flow and timely service.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and service standards, including responsible alcohol service guidelines.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a server, banquet, or customer service role, preferably within a hospitality setting.
- Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a guest-first attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated physical stamina to stand, walk, lift (up to 25 lbs), and carry trays for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Reliability and punctuality are paramount.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a high-end banquet facility, hotel, or fine dining restaurant.
- Knowledge of various service styles (e.g., French, American, Russian, buffet, family-style).
- Current food handler's permit or ability to obtain one upon hire.
- TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) or equivalent responsible alcohol service certification.
